A day at disney

Lost all our ' on the hoof' thoughts so will try and recreate.

(Lloyd) In blogger online so maybe my spelling will now improve.... Disney was well.. from my perspective a big theme park.. and I am no fan of theme parks.  Yet looking around I do appear to be in the minority.  That said none of the Disney stuff has ever really piqued my interest levels, most of the films passing me by.

So we arrived and the family excitement was palpable.  I did enjoy the star wars stuff whigh I guess is the axis on which Disney and popular culture enters my world.

Took a bit of a people watching approach to the day. Some of the most interesting characters were not the animated crew but excited Americans.   Tried a few rides out and the show at the end could not fail to interest.  I think having done the damp squib stuffs i'd best hand you Disney though the eyes of a child.

(Carys)  Disney was incrediblybless! I loved every single second of it, and the warm sunny weather helped  with that as well.  Favourite ride? Most definitely Hyperspace Mountain, which was also the scariest ride I went on! I got really worked up about going on it because I was scared and then when we went on it I had a great time!

It was a Star Wars themed rollercoaster in the dark with stars illuminating your surroundings.

I also loved the Indiana Jones ride, yet another one that I was scared to go on beforehand. Lloydiana Jones refused to come on, which was quite a dissapointment.

I loved Main Street, and how all the little shops were actually selling things. Sleeping Beauty's Castle was gorgeous!

Before we left we watched the 'Paint The Night' parade and that was beautiful.  It lit up the whole street. The fireworks and lazer show was awesome anday they made me fly from harnessed in different songs and there was even fake snow at the end!  Disney was magical.

Disney is special to me because it'seems basically my childhood.  I am currently growing up and as doing so, bring these Disney movies with me. I have watched them since I was a tiny toddler,  and will watch them far into the future. The characters become real

to me.
